Materials: A scientific calculator is a necessity. Graphing calulators are optional.

Attendance: Regular attendance is expected and required. See Attendance and Grading Procedures in the Student Handbook or in the catalog for the official college policy. If you miss class twice in succession, please send me an email explaining your absences and to obtain your assignments.

Evaluation:

Final Grade:

Homework: Regular homework is assigned at the end of each class meeting and will be gone over in the next class if you ask for it.

Tests: There will be two major tests given during the semester. makeup tests are not automatic; you must discuss this with the instructor promptly should an emergency arise that prevents you from taking a test.

Labs: Lab groups will be formed during the first week of class. One person each week will be repsonsible for writing up and handing in the lab report. A collaborative effort is strongly encouraged; however, if for the actual write-up a student wishes to write an individual report, that is permitted. EACH STUDENT MUST DO THE WRITE-UP FOR AT LEAST THREE LABS DURING THE SMESTER. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN POINTS DEDUCTED FROM YOUR TOTAL SEMESTER ACCUMULATION.

Projects: there will be projects assigned during the semester; these will be worked on as described under Labs.

Reading memos/Quizzes: there will be no makeup reading memos or quizzes. The instructor will drop your lowest quiz grade when computing your final average.
