The Associate of Science degree program in Science and Mathematics prepares students for transfer into the junior year of a baccalaureate degree program in mathematics or related areas such as statistical or actuarial fields. This program is also recommended for those students interested in pursuing higher studies in physics and allied fields. Graduates have transferred to colleges in New Jersey and across the nation. *Select five (5) of the following seven (7) courses: Foundations of Calculus, or Precalculus II, Unified Calculus I, II, III (required), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics.
**Take one eight (8) credit sequence in Physics, Chemistry or Biology, Engineering Physics is recommended. See Science and Computer Language Elective Sheets for Mathematics majors.
***Students continuing a a foreign language previously studied must take a foreign language placement test. A student who elects to take a foreign language must completed a two-semester sequence in the same language.
