The purpose of this site is to introduce a style manual for effective design issues with regard to multimedia and web interfaces.

This style manual was developed as an outgrowth of a Ph.D. course in HCI, and problems students have been having with design issues in Web and multimedia courses. This will be a project in development, meaning that after this is implemented on the RVCC server it will be further developed as the need arises to serve my students and other interested parties.  I would also like to thank a fellow graduate student, Jim Grunwald, for his help.

Whether it is multimedia or Web designs, good design is based on an understanding of the basic principles of HCI.
