Web Page Development, Part I: Your Personal Web Page

• Learn to use basic HTML tags and a template to create your personal Web page
• Bring in a photograph or pose for a digital photograph
• Apply for a Web page account

Syllabus:
1.  PowerPoint Presentation - Web Page/HTML Basics
2.  Make Personal Web Page using template
     a. Fill in personal information
     b. Use HTML tags to make changes and additions
     c. Find backgrounds, rules and graphics for your page from graphics Web sites
3.  Hand in Photograph for scanning or get digital photo taken
4.  Search for other Instructional Sites OR prepare syllabus

4.  Publish your Web page using instruction sheet:
     a.  Configure your rvcc2 account
     b.  Upload Web page and graphics files in Netscape
     c.  Change file permissions in Telnet

5.  Use the Netscape Editor to make a course syllabus page
    a.  Publish completed course syllabus pages
    b.  Make link from Personal Web Page to syllabus
