Web Graphics
Minimizing graphics
Web graphics is one of the most exciting elements of the Web. However, it
should be used with care. Many Web users have slow connections, and pages
heavy with graphics take a while to load. Remember to include the alt
attribute in your image tag for users without access to graphics or users who
have turned off images. I have prepared a guide to Web graphics, which explains the three
graphics file formats: gif, png and jpeg, and which gives guidelines about
which format to select.
